Hydraulic Hose Failure?
Don't ignore the warning signs — a blown hose can shut your machine down instantly. Call Tim now.
If your machine is showing any of these signs, stop work and call us — catching a failing hose early prevents a full blowout, fluid loss, and serious equipment damage.
Visible Leaks or Weeping
Oil seeping from the hose body, fittings, or connections — even a small weep means the hose is under stress and can fail without warning.
Pressure Drop or Sluggish Response
Slow or weak hydraulic movement, cylinders not holding position, or attachments responding sluggishly — all signs of pressure loss through a failing hose.
Unusual Noises
Banging, knocking, or whining from the hydraulic system can indicate cavitation or a partial blockage caused by a collapsing hose inner liner.
Visible Damage or Blistering
Bulges, blisters, cracks, abrasion wear, or kinks in the hose outer cover are a clear sign the hose is compromised and ready to blow.
Overheating Hydraulic Fluid
A damaged or restricted hose causes turbulent flow and heat build-up. If your fluid is running hot, a failing hose could be the cause.
Complete Loss of Hydraulic Function
If a cylinder, motor, or attachment has stopped working entirely, a burst or fully blocked hose is a likely culprit — get it checked immediately.
